At HEICO, we are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company's trade compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the department's daily responsibilities are completed and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Disseminate guidance and direction on trade compliance requirements.
  • Determine jurisdiction and export classification of products, technical data, and services.
  • Engage in inquiries to identify and reconcile trade compliance issues.
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of U.S. trade laws and regulations.
  • Generate U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Department of State applications.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of foreign trade related processes, programs, and resources.
  • Direct audits of trade compliance processes and requirements.
  • Serve as interface and external spokesperson on trade compliance related matters.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of trade compliance training.
  • Assist in training new trade compliance personnel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred; and at least 5 years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in Aerospace or Defense related industries strongly preferred.
  • Must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.
  • Must have a technical background i.e. understanding manufacturing processes, technical drawings, materials, electronics and units of measure.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Demands:
