About the Role

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is a leading provider of mental health services in the Augusta, Georgia area. We are seeking a part-time Mental Health Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients on the unit and complete rounds as assigned
  • Participate in treatment planning to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients
  • Assist with the admission process and orient new patients to the unit and their program
  • Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions to promote healing and growth
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and program activities

Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have an associate's or bachelor's degree in a human services-related field
  • Valid driver's license with no suspensions or tickets for major traffic violations for at least three years
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders is preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification is required, and the ability to obtain certification in therapeutic restraint technique is also required
