As a Market Conduct Examiner II, you will engage in professional evaluations of market conduct practices, including comprehensive information collection, interviews with insurance entities, targeted data acquisition, correspondence, policy assessments, and various audits. Key Responsibilities:
A.
Examine insurance company records and procedures to verify compliance with relevant statutes, regulations, and contractual obligations.
B.Assess the operational practices of insurance companies regarding complaints, marketing, licensing, service, underwriting, and claims for regulatory adherence.
C.Advise on modifications to company policies to ensure compliance and enhance operational efficiency.
D.Prepare documentation and reports to summarize examination findings for review by the Examiner in Charge.
E.Conduct investigations of insurance producers and agencies to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
F.
Delegate examination tasks, provide training, and evaluate the performance of assistant examiners, offering constructive feedback.
G.
Fulfill the responsibilities of an Examiner-in-Charge, including leading pre-examination meetings, overseeing the examination process, and drafting the final examination report.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field AND one year of experience in the insurance sector or regulatory environment; OR Associate degree in business or a related field AND three years of relevant experience; OR Five years of experience in the insurance industry or related regulatory field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, economics, or accounting, with current experience in life and health or property and casualty insurance.
Industry designations such as CPCU, FLMI, CLU, AIE, CIE, or MCM are advantageous.
Other Requirements:
Regular attendance is essential. Some overnight travel may be necessary. A valid driver's license is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Insurance industry practices, relevant laws, operational auditing principles, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to:
Analyze examination data, apply regulatory knowledge, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
