Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a skilled Petroleum Inspector to join our Caleb Brett team at our facility.
About the Position- Perform volume and temperature measurement, as well as sampling, on shore tanks, rail cars, barges, and vessels.
- Report findings to the operations department.
- Travel to client locations for onsite inspections.
- Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.
- Perform routine equipment calibrations, verification, and function checks.
- Verify and communicate results obtained and make entries into the appropriate media.
- Provide on-the-job assistance and receive training from more experienced inspectors.
- Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and Company personnel.
- Monitor the availability of supplies needed for the above processes.
- Must have experience in gauging and sampling shore tanks and barges.
- Basic grasp of basic mathematics and work in an automated environment.
- Ability to work on an on-call basis.
- Cannot have a fear of heights.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs for shore tanks.
- TIC certified is a plus.
