About the Role
The lubricant additives sector is focused on developing formulation solutions and base oil technologies that optimize fuel economy and flow efficiency for automotive lubricants, catering to both passenger vehicles and commercial fleets. Additionally, we enhance energy efficiency and productivity for industrial lubricants used in construction, mining, agriculture, and manufacturing.
The specialty methacrylates division addresses a variety of applications, including coatings, personal care products, oilfield and refining chemicals, and fuel additives, by providing customized monomers and polymers.

Responsibilities
- Conduct independent small-scale projects, including lubricant testing using both industry-standard and internal laboratory methods.
- Design and execute experimental studies, determining the specifics of equipment setup.
- Independently develop, modify, and implement experiments while managing Technical Service programs for both internal and external clients.
- Prepare experimental samples and blends accurately based on provided recipes.
- Assess test results requiring subjective judgment, meticulously recording data and observations in a laboratory notebook.
- Perform necessary maintenance on laboratory equipment, including adjustments, calibrations, and cleaning, while troubleshooting issues and coordinating with manufacturers to ensure optimal equipment readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field, preferably in Chemistry.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of straightforward procedures and systems.
- Proficient verbal communication skills, capable of providing technical guidance and articulating ideas effectively.
- Experience in planning, analyzing, and reporting experimental results with minimal supervision.
- Ability to implement safe work systems independently and conduct Daily Hazard Analyses while safely handling hazardous chemicals in compliance with established safety protocols.
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude, with the capability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment issues and develop corrective action plans as needed.
