Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing adaptive supported living services to adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Direct Care Staff to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support to clients in their homes or in the community, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans to meet the unique needs of each client, including support with daily living tasks, social skills, and community access.
- Assist clients with household management, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Monitor client progress and maintain accurate records of daily/weekly/monthly progress notes.
- Transport clients to appointments, activities, and adult day programs as needed.
- Collaborate with Case Managers and other support staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year or more experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Bi-lingual in Mandarin a plus.
- RBT certification a plus.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Pass fingerprint background check, TB test, and health screening.
- Valid California state driver's license, current registration, and valid vehicle insurance required.
