Job Title: Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and has a strong background in medical administration. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience working in a medical field and be bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required). The successful candidate will be responsible for updating patient demographics, scheduling follow-up appointments, preparing referrals and authorizations for Managed Care patients, and assisting providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit.

Keys to Success in this Role:
  • Update patient demographics
  • Schedule follow-up appointments
  • Prepare referrals and authorizations for Managed Care patients
  • Assist providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit
  • Perform incidental duties as needed
Physical and Mental Demands:

The Medical Receptionist will be required to sit for long periods, have normal concentration and complexity of decision making, and have high-level verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and have previous customer service experience.

Occupational Exposure:

The Medical Receptionist will have low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards.

  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Strong team player
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Previous Customer Service experience
  • 1 year of related experience required
