About the Role:

The Director of Operations is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, including supply chain management, quality control, production scheduling, budgeting, risk, and more. This role requires efficient use of personnel and company assets to maximize production while maintaining a positive working relationship with clients and other customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating budgets and financial plans to support the organization's long-term goals.
  • Reviewing organizational structures and suggesting changes to improve efficiency.
  • Preparing responses to government agencies regarding specific regulations or policies affecting the organization.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by monitoring the quality of service provided by staff members.
  • Overseeing the planning and execution of organizational activities such as meetings, conventions, or trade shows.
  • Reviewing employee performance and providing feedback to ensure employees meet company standards.
  • Coordinating with vendors regarding product delivery schedules and quality control issues.
  • Managing human resources issues such as hiring, firing, training, and compensation.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of field operations and demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • At least 2 years related experience with Department of Transportation projects.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Projects, Excel, Office, and Access Database.

Education & Experience:

  • A college degree in business, engineering, or technical field is preferred. Significant industry experience may be substituted for education.

Travel & Physical Requirements:

  • Required travel: up to 40%.
  • Physical requirements include standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing.
