About the Role

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the delivery network. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of delivery associates, optimizing routes, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management

The Operations Manager will lead and manage a team of delivery drivers to meet daily delivery targets. This includes ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers by the company's high standards.

The manager will develop and maintain efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and minimize costs. They will also implement and monitor KPIs to track performance and optimize daily operations.

Team Leadership & Development

The Operations Manager will recruit, train, and onboard new delivery associates. They will foster a positive work environment, ensuring team morale and engagement.

The manager will conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching to drive improvement. They will also address any performance or disciplinary issues in a timely and professional manner.

Safety & Compliance

The Operations Manager will ensure all delivery operations comply with company safety protocols and government regulations. They will promote a culture of safety among drivers and ensure all safety training is up-to-date.

The manager will investigate and resolve any safety incidents or delivery issues.

Customer Satisfaction

The Operations Manager will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring successful and on-time deliveries. They will resolve customer complaints or issues with professionalism and efficiency.

The manager will liaise with company customer service teams to resolve escalated delivery issues.

Logistics & Fleet Management

The Operations Manager will oversee the maintenance and repair of the vehicle fleet to ensure reliability. They will monitor vehicle performance, ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules and safety inspections.

The manager will coordinate with third-party vendors for vehicle repairs or replacements as needed.

Data & Reporting

The Operations Manager will analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. They will prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on delivery performance and team productivity.

The manager will utilize the company's systems and tools for tracking deliveries and managing driver schedules.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. They will have excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

The candidate will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and logistics software is required. A valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed are also necessary.

Preferred Skills

Experience with operations or a similar delivery platform is preferred. Familiarity with last-mile logistics operations and knowledge of fleet management and delivery route optimization are also desirable.

Working Conditions

The Operations Manager will be required to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. The work is primarily conducted in a warehouse or delivery station environment with occasional travel to various delivery sites.
