Responsibilities:


The role of the Consumer Loan Consultant I involves overseeing the consultation and intake processes for consumer loans, credit, and debit card products offered by the Credit Union, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA's). This position is focused on delivering accurate and timely consultations and intake for consumer loans and card products.

While this role does not involve budgetary responsibilities, it requires oversight of daily tasks to ensure success and demands analytical skills to fulfill essential job functions.


The Consumer Loan Consultant I is tasked with the consultation, intake, and support of both secured (non-real estate and real estate secured) and unsecured products (consumer loans, credit, and debit), necessitating a diverse skill set related to the loan and card processes.

This includes, but is not limited to, providing member service through various communication channels such as phone, chat, email, and mail, conducting member consultations, processing applications, supporting branches with consumer lending, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines. Building relationships, assisting with associate training, conducting business acceptance systems testing, and participating in specialist projects and other assigned duties are also key components of this role.

This position requires on-site presence at our Headquarters.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Capable of performing activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Sufficient manual dexterity for operating a PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight trips
  • Ability to exert minimal force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects

Entry Level: 0-1 years of progressive experience in consumer lending within at least one product line: Direct
