About the Role

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager of Restaurant Operations to join our team. As a key member of our operations leadership, you will be responsible for providing domain-specific guidance and support to our team members, senior leaders, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement property-specific business plans, including financial recovery plans and best practices from senior leadership.
  • Establish and maintain CHI corporate standards for food and beverage expenses, quality, presentation, handling, sanitation, service, and safety.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure all F&B products and work practices meet established standards.
  • Assist senior leaders and general managers in managing the composition, preparation, presentation, and positioning of food and beverage programming and development.
  • Participate in individual property assessments of F&B team members and provide coaching and advising on safety, sanitation, food handling, and alcohol service standards.
  • Work with purchasing or procurement vendor loyalty programs to drive successful companywide fiscal-minded programs.
  • Provide feedback on annual operating and capital budgets related to food and beverage operations.
  • Lead succession planning for food and beverage leadership and advise on interim leadership and transition plans.
Requirements
  • A hotel management or culinary arts degree and/or equivalent training with eight or more years of industry and culinary management experience.
  • Multi-outlet experience required.
  • Working knowledge of culinary trends, quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.
  • Working knowledge of financial, budgetary, and food cost control practices.
  • Food handling and other permits, licenses, or certifications as required.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals.
  • Substantial general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning, and organizing.
  • Proven financial management skills, including budget management, forecasting, expense management, and analysis of Profit and Loss statements.
  • Strong employee management and leadership skills, including coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling, and relationship-building.
