About the Role

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager of Restaurant Operations to join our team. As a key member of our operations leadership, you will be responsible for providing domain-specific guidance and support to our team members, senior leaders, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement property-specific business plans, including financial recovery plans and tools for property leadership.
  • Focus on F&B Team Leadership and Growth, building a network of recruits for all levels of F&B talent and facilitating internal networking and inter-property transfers.
  • Implement a comprehensive Task Force Development Plan to address acute property needs in real-time.
  • Partner with Talent Manager and consult with Senior Leaders on all F&B management hires.
  • Establish F&B standards in areas such as sequence of service, presentation, quality control, expense management, administration, workplace safety, and foodservice sanitation.
  • Co-lead with other Senior Leaders and take charge of all purchasing programs, particularly as it relates to F&B operations.
  • Initiate strategic planning and solutions to inspire Innovation/Brand Positioning and Creative Concepting.
Requirements
  • A hotel management or culinary arts degree and/or equivalent training with eight or more years of industry and culinary management experience.
  • Working knowledge of culinary trends, quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.
  • Working knowledge of financial, budgetary, and food cost control practices.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals.
  • Substantial general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.
  • Proven financial management skills, including budget management, forecasting, expense management, and analysis of Profit and Loss statements.
  • Strong employee management and leadership skills, including coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling, and relationship-building.
