Health Information Specialist

Destinationone Consulting is seeking a skilled Health Information Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare recruitment team, you will play a vital role in managing and organizing health information data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and security.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, analyze, and maintain patient health information and medical records.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of health records.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
- Participate in audits to verify the integrity of health information.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to facilitate the exchange of patient information.
- Train staff on proper documentation practices and health information management.
- Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or a related field; certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred.
- Experience in health information management or medical records, with familiarity in coding and billing processes.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and health information management software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
