Job Summary

The Mental Health Therapist is a vital member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, working at one or more assigned sites within our health and wellness centers. This role involves counseling individuals, couples, families, and groups, as well as providing mental health consultation within the health center and to assigned Crossover client organizations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in evidence-based treatments, excellent communication skills, and the ability to establish therapeutic alliances with diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals to facilitate positive mental health change.
  • Present psycho-educational programs, promote services, and consult with organizations to enhance mental health support.
  • Utilize a range of assessment and intervention techniques to address mental health concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential mental health records, adhering to HIPAA and ethical standards.
  • Conduct clinical data reviews, recommending programmatic changes and clinical tools to optimize outcomes and minimize costs.
  • Perform case management when service needs exceed the scope of practice.
  • Adhere to the code of ethics associated with their respective certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Licensed in Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), LCSW, or PsyD.
  • Maintain licensure in good standing during employment.
  • Minimum 5 years of related clinical experience serving patients across mental health, family relationships, addiction, and recovery.
  • Proficient in evidence-based treatments (CBT, ACT, and DBT).
  • Must have attended an APA-accredited program.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Capacity to establish therapeutic alliances and rapport with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to make independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
  • Proficient computer and technology skills.
Physical Job Requirements
  • May require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination.
  • Requires corrected vision, hearing, and speech within normal ranges.
