Job Title: Senior Avionics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Engineer to join our team at S4 Inc. in support of the QF-16 Program.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in avionics engineering, systems integration, and test support for the regeneration and conversion of AMARG stored Block 15/25/30 F-16 aircraft to the QF-16 Aerial Target Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support requirements definition, systems engineering milestone review oversight, and approval of subsystem level designs.
  • Verify completed software and hardware designs, aircraft designs, development, ground and flight test support, and avionics integration.
  • Provide support to identify Engineering Change Proposals, Time Compliance Technical Orders, or avionics changes on potential aircraft to support the QF-16 program.
  • Support site visits to identify any facility upgrades and/or improvements that may be required to support QF-16 operations.
  • Support Technical Interchange Meetings and assist in providing discussion inputs, avionics recommendations, accomplishing kit proofs in support of F-16 TCTO development and any aircraft hands-on support as required.
  • Support assessing the integrity/capability of the F-16 supply system to ensure that ample spares and repair capabilities are readily available to accomplish required refurbishments and follow-on support as it relates to QF-16 aircraft.
  • Provide avionics related inputs to QF-16 decision makers for support regarding the number and blocks of F-16s that could create a fleet of QF-16s.
  • Support, attend, and provide technical inputs to coordination meetings and Program Management Reviews as required.
Qualifications:
  • An active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelors' degree with a major in electrical engineering from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program(s) for the degree requirements of the position.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in fighter aircraft avionics engineering; and knowledge and experience with OFPs that may be utilized in support of the QF-16.
