Job Summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a highly skilled Senior MS&A Developer to join our team. As a key member of our LGM-35A Sentinel Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Analysis Branch, you will play a critical role in the development of advanced rocket and missile dynamics and performance simulations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering or management support of defense systems, technology, or research and development activities. You will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and testing MS&A tools, ensuring accuracy and completeness of content, and providing support to programmatic and technical briefings, reports, and other related documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced rocket and missile dynamics and performance simulations
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and developers to complete critical MS&A tools
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of content, recommending corrective actions as needed
  • Provide support to programmatic and technical briefings, reports, and other related documentation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in engineering or management support of defense systems, technology, or research and development activities
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
  • Understanding of agile software development practices and procedures
  • Experience with 6-degree-of-freedom simulations or modeling and simulation
  • Developer-level proficiency with coding languages such as C++, Fortran, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a US DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
  • 3 years of experience in systems design, integration, and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes
