Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $22.53 per hour, which translates to an estimated annual salary of $46,920.00. This compensation package includes a range of benefits, including:

Job Description

The Administrative Support Specialist will provide direct support to all staff at the Center for Victim Safety and Support. The daily work focuses on performing routine clerical and reception work, including purchasing orders and greeting clients and guests. The specialist will coordinate daily office functions, maintenance work throughout the building, and inventories, including office supplies and emergency assistance for clients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to relate to persons in need of assistance. They will be able to work effectively under extreme pressure and possess 'out of the box' thinking and resourcefulness. Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of email packages and MS software programs, are also required.

The successful candidate will be able to travel as needed and participate in training and meetings. They will also be responsible for maintaining an organized and clean office space and ensuring a safe and secure working environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Answers multiple single-line telephones in a pleasant and professional manner, referring/transferring callers to appropriate staff, taking, and relaying accurate messages in a timely manner.
  2. Greets in-person clients and guests.
  3. Refers clients to appropriate staff or program.
  4. Orders and distributes supplies and inventory for the program.
  5. Daily collection and sorting of CVSS mail.
  6. Facilitates coordination of technology equipment to staff, as needed.
  7. Assists with onboarding and coordination of new staff, volunteers, and interns, in collaboration with the Coordinator of Training and Onboarding.
  8. Maintains an organized and clean office space and ensures a safe and secure working environment.
  9. Coordinates and compiles data around client surveys.
  10. Facilitates incoming and outgoing mail.
  11. Assists in fundraising, special projects, and special events, as needed.
Requirements
  1. Associate degree in human services or related field OR 2+ years of full-time office management experience.
  2. Exceptional clerical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  3. Strong communication and customer service skills.
  4. Supervisory experience a plus.
  5. Victim Services experience a plus.
  6. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
