Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure that repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that the team has the necessary resources to complete tasks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, responding to their maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as property management and leasing, to ensure that maintenance needs are met and that residents are satisfied.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized vocational training or certification in a relevant field (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in building and facility maintenance, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Ability to read and write in English at an intermediate level, with the ability to read diagrams, meters, and instructions.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to measure and calculate quantities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity, with the ability to handle confidential resident information.
  • Background and credit check, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification required.
