Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Intervention Technician to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System.

**Job Summary:**

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse and informal supervision by the Director of Security, this role will monitor patient care activities and the environment to maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu for adult psychiatric patients on the behavioral health unit.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Monitor patient care activities and the environment to ensure a safe and therapeutic milieu
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
* Maintain accurate records and reports
* Participate in training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
