About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Management Analyst to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role will lead multiple projects with a focus on Markets intra-day initiatives, executing and delivering core services as part of the overall CIB Data Management Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead complex companywide initiatives to ensure data quality is maintained.
  • Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues.
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality.
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring a solid understanding of data governance standards and procedures.
  • Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data.
  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members.
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy.
  • Serve as relationship manager for a line of business.
  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Deep knowledge, appreciation, and understanding of Markets and financial products such as Securities & Derivatives, Collateral, Margins, Investments, and Securities Financing.
  • Demonstrated experience working on large-scale enterprise data initiatives with one or more of these groups: Trading Desk, Quants, Corporate Risk, Corporate Finance, and Middle Office.
  • Prefer in-depth knowledge of Wells Fargo Markets architecture and data flows, from front office to back office.
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership and other functional areas.
  • Advance data analysis and modeling skills across structured and unstructured data, preferably in the markets space.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills and ability to support multiple complex high-priority efforts simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with line of business stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with ability to analyze metrics and articulate data trends both visually and verbally, and articulate complex concepts to senior leadership (Excel, PPT & Visio).
  • Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed and matrixed organization.
  • Experience as Product Owner with JIRA / agile methodology and change management background.
