Orthopedic Spinal Care Specialist

**Job Summary**
VCU Health - MCV Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team in Richmond, VA.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Staff inpatient services with learners including medical students, interns, and residents.
- Participate in clinical and administrative research, including performance improvement initiatives and formal extramurally funded investigations.
- Work with institutional staff and administration to attain the strategic objectives of VCU Health System, including patient safety and quality improvement.
- Admit and manage patients who present through the orthopedic spine service, co-management of patients on other services, and triage medicine patients requiring admission in the Emergency Department.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
**Requirements:**
- M.D. degree and ABOS certification/eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery.
- Record of scholarly publication in peer-review journals.
- Direct experience managing complex orthopaedic spine cases and competence in standard inpatient procedures.
