About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Field Technician to join our team at ECS Limited. As a key member of our Construction Materials Testing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Activities: Conduct on-site observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
  • Testing Procedures: Perform routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment, adhering to industry standards and compliance.
  • Data Collection: Collect and analyze data from sampling, test results, and inspections, and prepare detailed field reports documenting site observations.
  • Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers, keeping them informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requirements.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs and certification opportunities to enhance your professional skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of related experience in construction materials testing or a related field.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current basic level certifications and willingness to obtain additional advanced certifications.
  • OSHA 10 certification (a plus).
  • Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and carry multiple items throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices and basic knowledge of MS Office.
