School Based Personal Care Aide Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Based Personal Care Aide to join our team at Interim HealthCare of NEPA. As a School Based Personal Care Aide, you will provide hands-on personal care and support to students with disabilities in a school setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to students with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities and mobility
  • Assist students with behavioral support and redirection as needed
  • Follow school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other school staff to ensure seamless support
  • Document observations and concerns to ensure continuity of care
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 6 months experience in a related field, such as behavioral health or pediatrics
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings
