The X-ray Technician - Local Traveler will be responsible for covering various centers within a specified geographic area.

This role involves reporting to the Center Manager at a designated "home" location while being available to travel to other medical centers within a local territory.


As an X-ray Technician - Local Traveler, your duties will include performing all radiological services and basic nursing tasks as assigned.

Your role will also involve ensuring patient well-being and fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and clinical staff.

You will report to the Center Manager at your assigned "home" location and travel within a designated local area of other medical centers.


Status:
Full-Time - 36 hours

Schedule:
Three 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM) weekly

Specialty:
Urgent Care Services

Hours may include rotating weekends and holidays, varying with patient volume and operational needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct precise X-ray imaging as directed by healthcare providers while adhering to radiation safety protocols, including ALARA.

Prepare and send images to radiologists for review and communicate results to providers.

Retrieve and archive radiographic reports, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.


Accurately collect data during patient intake, including vital signs and medical history.

Assist patients with mobility, specimen collection, and exam preparation as needed.

Complete daily patient referrals and follow-ups.

Required Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Licensed and certified by ARRT and state regulations, if applicable.

Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Maintain continuing education units (CEU/CME) as required for licensure.

Reliable transportation for local travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in urgent care settings.

Ability to work independently without another radiologic technologist present.


Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients, including taking vitals, performing point-of-care testing, and documenting in electronic medical records.

Ability to perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens.
