Position Overview:
The Evaluation and Methodology Program at a leading university is seeking applications for a Research Associate. The selected candidate will collaborate with a faculty member on the development of innovative methodologies and tools for statistical power assessments and optimal sample size calculations for longitudinal research. Responsibilities include conducting Monte Carlo simulations, managing and analyzing longitudinal datasets, presenting research findings at academic conferences, and contributing to scholarly publications.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal applicant should possess one or more of the following qualifications:
- Expertise in statistical techniques for longitudinal data analysis, including multilevel modeling, difference-in-differences (DID), or comparative interrupted time series (CITS) methodologies.
- Experience in executing Monte Carlo simulations using statistical software such as R or Stata.
- Proficiency in cleaning, managing, and analyzing extensive longitudinal datasets using tools like Stata, R, or SAS.
Essential Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree or have fulfilled all requirements for a doctorate in quantitative research methods, statistics, or a closely related discipline prior to starting the position.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with longitudinal data analysis methods, including multilevel modeling and recent advancements in DID techniques.
- Experience in conducting Monte Carlo simulations using R or Stata.
- Knowledge of developing R packages and/or R Shiny applications.
- Understanding of missing data analysis in longitudinal or multilevel studies.
