Postdoctoral Researcher in Organic Chemistry

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate in Organic Chemistry to join our research team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Kaibo Feng, focusing on the development of new synthetic methodologies. The postdoctoral associate will conduct research in synthesizing and characterizing organic and organometallic compounds. The position will be initially awarded for one year, and may be renewed contingent upon strong performance and availability of funds.
About the Position
The Feng Group is dedicated to addressing enduring synthetic challenges and developing transformative reactions with the aid of transition-metal and organocatalysts. With these new methods, our goal is to readily derivatize natural products and biologically active small molecules at late stages with controllable selectivities. We are especially interested in harnessing non-covalent interactions pivotal in enzymatic reactions for designing small-molecule catalysts that promote challenging transformations, as well as developing new approaches to enhance these types of interactions for biologically active compounds.
