Job Summary:
The Department of Astronomy at the University of Florida invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate in theoretical astrophysics to conduct research on topics related to galaxy evolution, dust in galaxies, and/or the physics of the interstellar medium. The successful candidate will develop and analyze new galaxy evolution simulations with Dr. Desika Narayanan to further these research goals, and will be in heavy collaboration with Dr. Paul Torrey at the University of Virginia.
Responsibilities:
Develop and analyze new galaxy evolution simulations with Dr. Desika Narayanan to further research goals, collaborate with Dr. Paul Torrey at the University of Virginia, and conduct research on topics related to galaxy evolution, dust in galaxies, and/or the physics of the interstellar medium.
Requirements:
A Ph.D. in Astronomy, Physics, or a related field is required prior to the start date. A competitive salary and funds for research/travel will be provided, and the position includes a benefits package.
