About the Role

At Action for Boston Community Development, Inc., (ABCD), we are seeking a highly skilled Chief Program Administrator to oversee our Early Childhood Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and services that support the development and well-being of young children.

Job Description
  • Center Management and Operations: Ensure all staff support and implement the delivery of high-quality services for each content area, maintaining a physical environment that conforms to governmental and agency standards of safety and cleanliness.
  • Staff Supervision: Screen, interview, and make recommendations to Central staff for employment or termination, supervise and evaluate center personnel, and conduct annual performance appraisals.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of a developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive curriculum as prescribed by the Head Start Central Office.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor center recruitment plans to maintain full enrollment and a waitlist.
  • Supervise and maintain accurate and confidentially center record keeping required by licensing, governmental, and agency policies.
  • Participate in activities that inform the community of the services and goals of the agency.
  • Abide by agency, local, state, and accrediting organization requirements for other related program operations tasks.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years professional leadership/management and supervisory experience, preferably in a Head Start setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or human services management or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse staff and candidates.
  • Strong proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
