As a valued Occupational Therapist within Catholic Health Initiatives, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients to regain their autonomy and enhance their quality of life, enabling them to navigate their daily routines safely.
Your collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals, will be essential in assessing patients, formulating comprehensive care plans, and implementing effective treatment strategies.
Daily, you will engage with a diverse patient population facing various challenges, including orthopedic, neurological, sensory, and cancer recovery issues, among others. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and re-evaluating patients, providing physicians with updates on their progress, and serving as a vital link between physical and speech therapy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess new patients and propose tailored care plans.
2. Deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing range of motion, strength, and balance during daily activities.
3. Recommend and customize adaptive equipment as necessary.
4. Conduct re-evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
5. Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, and any modifications to the care plan.
6. Offer support and guidance to colleagues, including mentoring and assistance with professional development opportunities.
7. Uphold a positive and encouraging demeanor to inspire patients in their recovery journey.
Qualifications
Required Education:
A combination of Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of NE or through the occupational licensure compact. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA is mandatory upon hire.
Compensation:
Competitive pay rate of $57.72 per hour.
