Electro/Mechanical Assembler Job Description

Acara Solutions is seeking a skilled Electro/Mechanical Assembler to work on a Temp to Hire opportunity in Boulder, CO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical assembly, with experience in working from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex electrical and mechanical assembly tasks, including rework and repairs of materials to IPC standards.
  • Read and work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and parts lists to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Populate PCBAs, both through-hole and surface mount, and perform masking and conformal coating of boards.
  • Perform in-process inspection on box builds, PCBAs, and cables to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • May perform non-established, non-routine testing or troubleshooting of components, devices, modules, or products.
  • Perform rework and repairs of materials, including multilevel boards, to IPC standards.
  • Identify and recommend disposition of defective components.
  • May inspect incoming material, including custom sheet metal, PCBAs, and cables.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical/mechanical assembly.
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Skills:
  • Active IPC 610, 620, and J-STD certifications.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
  • Prior Mil-Std Workmanship experience a plus.
  • High Precision timing, test, and measurements experience a plus.
