Electro/Mechanical Assembler Job Description

Acara Solutions is seeking a skilled Electro/Mechanical Assembler to join our client on a temporary to hire opportunity located in Boulder, CO.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will perform non-routine and complex electrical and mechanical assembly tasks, including reading and working from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and parts lists. They will also perform rework and repairs of materials to IPC standards, populate PCBAs, and conduct in-process inspections.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-routine and complex electrical and mechanical assembly tasks
  • Read and work from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and parts lists
  • Perform rework and repairs of materials to IPC standards
  • Populate PCBAs, both through-hole and surface mount, and mask and conformal coat boards
  • Perform work and assembly processes that meet or exceed IPC standards
  • Conduct in-process inspections on box builds, PCBAs, and cables
  • May perform non-established, non-routine testing or troubleshooting of components, devices, modules, or products
  • Perform rework and repairs of materials, including multilevel boards, to IPC standards
  • Identify and recommend disposition of defective components
  • May inspect incoming material, including custom sheet metal, PCBAs, and cables

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical/mechanical assembly
  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active IPC 610, 620, and J-STD certifications
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Prior Mil-Std workmanship experience a plus
  • High precision timing, test, and measurement experience a plus
