Mechanical Engineering Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Procurement Specialist to join our team at TCWGlobal. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and testing engineering prototype instruments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop next-generation life science instruments, and performing testing and analysis of components and systems to validate research and correlate mechanical models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test engineering prototype instruments from sub-assembly through complete instrument
  • Generate and release engineering documentation to support the development and manufacture of world-class life science instruments
  • Procure, track, stock, and kit instrument components
  • Set up and maintain assembly stations, tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and test fixtures

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering technology or higher degree; or working towards an engineering degree
  • ~1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, instrumental assembly, or related field
  • Knowledge of and application of principles and theories of engineering
  • General understanding of instrument assembly
  • CAD experience, SolidWorks experience a plus
  • Strong communication, technical, and computer skills
