Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Equiliem. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling products using various hand tools according to specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble products using hand tools, including power screwdrivers, screwdrivers, rivet machines, crimping tools, and other equipment.
  • Adhere to production schedules and work from sample fixtures.
  • Handle and move parts from storage locations to work cells.
  • Assist Material Handlers in obtaining parts as needed.
  • Perform individual quality inspections throughout the assembly process and mark defective parts for replacement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Reside in the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of Windsor, CT.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment and comply with safety policies.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and production paperwork.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and train others accordingly.
  • Ability to identify components that meet quality standards.
  • Ability to apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve assembly operations.
  • Ability to complete required paperwork.
  • Ability to work overtime and be flexible when required.
Preferred Skills
  • Minimum of one (1) year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
