Delta Utilities Services, LLC is seeking a seasoned Director of Facilities Management to oversee the strategic management and operation of its 15 offices and facilities. This is a full-time position based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management plans to ensure the safety, efficiency, and well-maintenance of all facilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate the upkeep and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other essential services.
- Ensure all facilities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines, and implement and oversee safety programs and emergency response plans.
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards, and track and report on expenses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Develop relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to secure favorable terms for the organization through the negotiation of contracts and service agreements.
- Oversee space planning and utilization of all offices and facilities, promoting efficient use of space to best meet organizational needs, and manage office relocations, expansions, and renovations as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the facilities management team, providing guidance and support to team members, and develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous growth within the team, and monitor and manage energy usage across all facilities to identify opportunities for reduction and efficiency.
- A bachelor's degree in facilities management, business management, or a related field; relevant certifications such as Certification in Facility Management (CFM), LEED, or similar are considered a plus.
- At least seven to ten years of relevant experience in facilities management, preferably within the utility industry or an equally regulated environment, with at least five years of experience in a leadership role overseeing multiple sites.
- Developed experience in facility management, maintenance, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets and financial plans.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of facility management and its tools.
- Ability to travel frequently between facility locations.
