Store Manager in Training Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Store Manager in Training. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supervising and training a team of 2-5 employees, leading new staff onboarding and initial training, and conducting initial interviews for potential new hires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager is not present.
  • Supervise, train, and coach team members to ensure excellent customer service and meet sales goals.
  • Lead new hourly staff onboarding and initial training, including conducting initial interviews for potential new hires.
  • Support the Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.
  • Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies' standards, including baking, uniform, and company policies.
  • Upsell and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or retail store.
  • Prior experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly support staff.
  • Prior Point of Sale (POS) systems experience.
  • Ability to utilize MS Office, Word, and our Applicant Tracking System.
  • Ability to work a 4-5 day work week and 1-2 mid-to-late shifts throughout the latter part of the week (Thurs-Sun).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal eligibility for employment in the United States.
