Radiologic Imaging Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to execute a range of imaging procedures, such as CT scans and X-Rays, at a proficient level that does not necessitate continuous oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver technical support and compassionate patient care to assist physicians, nursing staff, and other technical and administrative personnel in addressing the needs of patients throughout the facility.
- Manage and operate all imaging department apparatus, including but not limited to X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS systems.
- Conduct all imaging examinations in compliance with established protocols, procedures, regulations, and legal requirements, ensuring that the attending physician is informed of the results.
- Execute basic clinical tasks under the supervision of the physician and/or nursing staff on duty.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Collect laboratory specimens and perform laboratory tests in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
- Ensure an adequate inventory of all reagents and consumables necessary for quality testing.
- Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and functionality checks on all imaging equipment following established protocols.
- Conduct Quality Control as mandated by the laboratory.
- Engage in Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis as required by the facility.
- Retain records of all analytical activities for a minimum of two years.
- Carry out all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this position and document these for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Laboratory Director.
- Fulfill duties as an ER Technician as necessary.
- Maintain an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables for quality testing.
- Perform routine maintenance and functionality checks on imaging equipment as per established protocols.
- Travel to various facility locations as required.
- Participate in staff meetings or other company-sponsored or mandated gatherings as necessary.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Graduation from an AMA-accredited Radiology Technology program is required.
- Associate's Degree in Radiology is preferred.
- Certification as a medical radiologic technologist as mandated by the state of practice is required.
- CT Certification is preferred.
- CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
- Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography is required.
- Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in computed tomography is preferred.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- 2+ years of experience in radiologic/imaging is preferred.
- 1+ years of CT experience is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in an emergency room setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment, including manufacturer's hardware/software and PACS is required.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral, is necessary.
