Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist and Intensivist

At Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, we are seeking a full-time Cardiac Anesthesiologist and Intensivist with interest and experience in advanced cardiovascular care to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced professional to help launch our exciting new CVICU at our Virginia Mason Medical Center location in downtown Seattle. The CVICU Intensivist service will work collaboratively with our Advanced Heart Failure, Structural Heart and Cardiothoracic Surgery teams to care for our growing Cardiovascular Service Line patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the growth of a new Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at VMMC
- Supporting the growth of a Mechanical Cardiac Support program, including both an established ECMCO program and a new VAD program
- Caring for approximately 400 open heart cases per year, including complex aortic arch surgery, redo valve replacement, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy, and septal myectomy
- Participating in over 450 structural heart cases per year, including MitraClip, Tricuspid clip, TAVR, transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve replacement, Watchman and high-risk PCI with Impella and/or ECMO support

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $525,000 per year, plus performance/quality metric up to $60,000 per year. We also offer a competitive benefits package, including health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, annual bonus eligibility, and more.
Qualifications- BC/BE by the ABA, American Board of Anesthesiology
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington
- Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
- Certification in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography
