Lead Cardiovascular Intensivist Opportunity in Downtown Seattle

We are seeking a board-certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist with expertise in critical care to lead our new Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Virginia Mason Medical Center in downtown Seattle. This exciting opportunity will involve working collaboratively with our Advanced Heart Failure, Structural Heart, and Cardiothoracic Surgery teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement advanced cardiovascular care strategies for our growing Cardiovascular Service Line patient population.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care and achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in CVICU care.
  • Mentor and educate anesthesiology residents and cardiology fellows on advanced cardiovascular care techniques.
  • Pursue opportunities for leadership and committee involvement across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Washington.
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice.
  • Certification in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography.
