About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified individual to serve as a Lead Faculty member for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Franklin University. This is a full-time, 12-month position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team of educators and professionals in the field of nursing.

Responsibilities
  • Course development: Design and implement high-quality courses that meet the educational needs of students.
  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective instruction to students, utilizing various teaching methods and technologies.
  • Administrative oversight: Provide leadership and guidance to adjunct faculty, ensuring the success of the program.
  • Hiring and management: Recruit, mentor, and manage adjunct faculty members.
  • Networking and community engagement: Foster relationships with professionals in the field, promoting collaboration and partnerships.
  • University service: Contribute to various university committees and initiatives, enhancing the overall academic experience.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A terminal degree in Nursing/Nursing Science or a related field (PhD, DNP, or DNSc).
  • Dual certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
  • A current, unencumbered RN and NP license in the US.
  • Board certification maintained.
  • At least four years of practical experience in various areas within the discipline, including practice as a NP.
  • At least two years of prior teaching experience, with online teaching experience preferred.
