Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for applying holters and cardiac monitors, uploading completed studies into the EMR, and performing Tracemaster tasks and walk-in EKGs as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply holters and cardiac monitors in the office and ensure accurate results.
  • Responsible for triaging abnormal holter and event monitor results and uploading completed studies into the EMR.
  • Assist in managing Tracemaster tasks and perform walk-in EKGs as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to adjust patient care plans and implement changes as needed.
  • Provide patient education and training on cardiac monitoring and EKG procedures.
  • Display professionalism and leadership in all interactions with patients and staff.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) certification
  • Preferred: Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of cardiac experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
