Job Title: Electrophysiology Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Job Summary:

The Electrophysiology Technician will be responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and other heart conditions. This will involve operating and maintaining complex medical equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and providing support to cardiologists and other medical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain electrophysiology equipment, including electrocardiogram machines and cardiac catheterization labs.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent.
  • Assist cardiologists and other medical staff during procedures, including monitoring patients' vital signs and providing support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and test results.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a related field, such as cardiovascular technology or medical imaging.
  • Current certification as an Electrophysiology Technician, such as the Certified Electrophysiology Technician (CET) credential.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
