About the Role:
As a Lead Governance Software Engineer, you will be a pivotal technical contributor, adept at transforming ambiguous business or technical requirements into precise architectural designs and high-quality implementations. Your focus will be on performance metrics, assessing both the outcomes of your contributions and the operational effectiveness of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement scalable governance solutions leveraging a combination of established technologies and innovative integrations.
2. Develop and sustain an automated policy engine that seamlessly integrates with current authorization frameworks, employing policy as code and ensuring cloud-native compatibility.
3. Foster governance by crafting user-centric products through computational engines and integration with existing data platforms and pipelines.
4. Collaborate with security and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
5. Engage with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective governance solutions.
6. Utilize agile methodologies for development management, CI/CD, and automation in infrastructure provisioning.
7. Stay abreast of the latest trends in security and governance, contributing to the enhancement of our data infrastructure.
8. Provide mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
9. Troubleshoot governance-related challenges and offer technical support to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
- PhD with 2 years, Master's with 4 years, or Bachelor's with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with cloud-based governance solutions, including Open Policy Agent (OPA) and other similar tools.
Preferred Skills:
1. In-depth knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance regulations.
2. Experience managing authorization as code and integrating with enterprise access management tools.
3. Proven track record in building reusable components within cloud-native ecosystems.
4. Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools.
5. Passion for data management and governance best practices.
