Job Overview

As a Mobile Low Voltage Service Specialist, you will be responsible for addressing service requests from our Service Resource Center, which includes a brief overview of equipment or system issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with customer representatives to identify and clarify equipment or system malfunctions.
  • Diagnose issues and carry out repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at various customer locations.
  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance on a variety of manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems, including those from SimplexGrinnell.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals to effectively service equipment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining clear communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements accurately using communication devices such as smartphones and laptops.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide timely service.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new members of the service team.
Qualifications
  • Valid Fire Alarm License is required.
  • Proficient in using test equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in various challenging positions, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as necessary.
  • Maintain an organized truck inventory to ensure prompt response to customer requests.
  • Adhere to all licensing requirements as mandated by National, State, and Local regulations.
