The Instructional Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the educational success of students in our schools. This position is responsible for assisting classroom teachers in providing a high-quality, personalized education program for students.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Support: Assist classroom teachers in managing student behavior, developing and implementing lesson plans, and assessing student progress.
- Student Engagement: Help students stay engaged in learning by developing and implementing strategies to promote student participation and motivation.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to improve instructional practices and stay up-to-date on best practices in education.
- Education: Associate's degree or successful completion of 48 units of college credit or passing of Paraprofessional Test.
- Experience: 1+ year working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and knowledge of child cognitive development and different learning styles.
