Job Title: Pediatrician - Child Abuse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatrician to join our team at the Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center. As a Child Abuse Pediatrician, you will play a critical role in providing medical evaluations and care to children and their families who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department consults for suspected abuse and neglect
  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments to determine the presence and extent of abuse or neglect
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address the physical and emotional needs of children and their families
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in court testimony, depositions, and hearings to advocate for the best interests of children
Requirements:
  • Medical degree and completion of a fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics
  • MD or DO licensed in the State of New Jersey
  • Board-certified in Child Abuse Pediatrics
  • Spanish speaking a plus
  • Caring and compassionate nature when working with children and their families
