Job Overview

This internship provides nursing students with the opportunity to gain experience in medical device safety and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
  • Support medical safety consultation activities related to analysis of marketed devices
  • Understand concepts of benefit and risk of devices, and application of these concepts in clinical practice as well as in public health
  • Gain understanding of medical device regulations, standards, and guidance
  • Participate in root-cause investigations into medication use errors, device failures, and human factors-related use errors

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing and be able to apply this knowledge to medical device safety and quality assurance.
