Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nursing Intern to join our Medical Device Safety team. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with experienced professionals to evaluate safety data relevant to AbbVie medical device products. You will gain valuable experience in medical device safety, pharmacovigilance, patient safety, epidemiology, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

- Support medical safety consultation activities related to analysis of safety data for marketed devices
- Understand concepts of benefit and risk of devices and apply these concepts in clinical practice and public health
- Gain knowledge of medical device regulations, standards, and guidance
- Participate in root-cause investigations into medication use errors, device failures, and human factors-related use errors
- Assist with ongoing continuous improvement projects spanning across departmental needs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field. Additionally, you should be currently enrolled in university during the internship period and expected to graduate between December 2025 – June 2026. Preferred qualifications include experience with medical devices or medical device safety, quality-related, public health, or research coursework/experience.
