Position Purpose

We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team, who shares our passion for delivering exceptional patient care and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and exotic animals, and to develop your skills in a range of areas, including wellness and preventative care, diagnostic evaluation, emergency and urgent care, dentistry, and advanced surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

As a veterinarian at Carolinas Veterinary Care Clinic, you will be responsible for examining and treating companion animals, operating diagnostic equipment, collecting diagnostic samples, and interpreting results. You will also advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options, perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed, and provide counsel around pet end of life care. Additionally, you will maintain patients' medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution, appropriate state licensure, and eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. You must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients, and be able to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds.
