POSITION OVERVIEW:

The role of Nutritional Services Assistant is vital in enhancing the dining experience for our residents and patients, who eagerly anticipate their meal times. Join a dedicated team that plays a crucial role in improving the quality of life for those we serve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the preparation and/or delivery of meals and snacks for residents, staff, and special occasions as directed by the Dietary Supervisor.
- Distribute food and snacks in accordance with the established menu and the dietary preferences and restrictions of each resident.
- Assist the Chef by ensuring that all food is prepared and portioned correctly, adhering to safety and hygiene standards, and is ready on schedule.
- Perform dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed or as instructed by the Dietary Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D is required.
- A food handler's permit is preferred based on local regulations.
- Prior experience in food preparation and service within a healthcare or long-term care environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in speaking, understanding, and writing in English is essential.
