Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in overseeing the Nutrition Services department, ensuring the delivery of safe and efficient food services to students and staff. The Manager will lead a team dedicated to meeting health and safety standards while providing quality meal options.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with nutritional guidelines and health regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor nutrition services personnel, fostering a productive and compliant work environment.
  • Conduct regular site assessments to evaluate food service quality and adherence to established protocols.
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during meal periods and special events.
  • Act as the primary contact for resolving urgent operational issues, including equipment malfunctions.
  • Coordinate training programs to enhance staff skills in food preparation and safety standards.
  • Prepare documentation for state reimbursement claims and assist with budget management.
  • Ensure timely inventory management and inspect food supplies for quality assurance.
  • Facilitate communication between students, staff, and vendors to address inquiries and feedback.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the Nutrition Services department.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, management, or a related field, along with significant experience in food service management, particularly within child nutrition programs. A valid Food Handler's card and a driver's license are required. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Working Conditions:
This position may involve travel to various sites and requires flexibility in working hours. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform various physical activities as needed.
